My name is Reid Ricciardi, I am a talent management and nonprofit professional with 25+ years of experience working with large and small teams at public and private institutions. If you’re looking for a professional coach or consultant, one with deep experience in the field, someone who approaches the work with integrity and empathy, a coach who brings a strategic outlook to every conversation, contact me to schedule a complimentary introductory meeting and let’s explore what a partnership could look like.

About Coaching

At some point in life, everyone has benefited from a good coach. Whether it’s through athletics, from a teacher or family member, a boss or trusted friend, coaches can help bring out the best in us. Navigating evolving work responsibilities, performance metrics and career growth can be challenging regardless of one’s experience and skills. Having a neutral party in your court, someone who will provide objective perspective and analyze situations with you while applying a strategic mindset, can make all the difference.

In my role, I have the opportunity to leverage over two decades of successful talent management, leadership and nonprofit fundraising experience. From small shops to large shops, from individual contributing roles to team lead roles, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of organizational development and institutional advancement. Helping professionals at all career stages achieve their full potential is at the heart of my work.

Testimonials…

I have had the pleasure to work with Reid over the past 7+ years on my journey in higher-ed fundraising. Transitioning from a 15 year career in the for-profit sales space to non-profit was not an easy transition, but Reid coached me through the process and positioned me in a way for me to land my first job as a Major Gift Officer. Since then, Reid has also coached me through my career, where I have been promoted three times in the past six years, and working towards a senior leadership role.  He is easy to work with and very strategic in understanding how to position you for external and internal opportunities.

Matt Borrello

Director of Major Gifts, Suffolk University

"I have worked with Reid on many nuanced organizational structure plans and hiring decisions. He is a patient, thoughtful partner who has helped me arrive at my conclusions confidently. He knows one size does not fit all, and I appreciate that I never feel pushed to make a certain decision when I come to him for counsel. Our conversations, while exploring pros and cons, consider multiple pathways and outcomes."

Griffin Lamb

Assistant Dean, NC State Engineering Foundation

Reid is the consummate coach and mentor for anyone looking to grow their career in the non-profit or higher education sectors. He has worked with multiple leaders at multiple institutions as well as recruited, coached, and mentored colleagues at points in their careers, including those just starting out in their professions, seasoned colleagues considering a change, and those of us looking to grow into new roles. Reid has a deep understanding of the work we do in advancement and the skills, professional development, and experience needed for success in our field. He has long been my sounding-board and asked me the tough questions to help me shape and develop my own career path. I trust Reid. He is an active listener, doesn't judge, is unselfishly vested in helping others grow, and operates with the highest integrity. Most important of all for me, he is passionate about coaching and brings a sense of humor and humility to his work.”
